Hi everyone!!!!
I've just joined up. I am mainly looking for a sort of artists community as I am getting bored of the constant demands of the likes of Meta, and frankly gain far more enjoyment out of getting to talk to artists and art lovers. If you are an artist and want to chat let me know and I'd be happy to talk :)
If anyone has any tips for navigating the site I would be eternally grateful. Joining was a bit of the spur of the moment decision, with me getting fed up of Facebook's constant pushing of Ai sh*te and looking for artist friendly places to explore.
Here is the first cover for a comic that I am very slowly working on at the moment too (featuring one orange, reality warping, electric eagle man) -

That comic cover looks stunning, he looks like a phoenix. The blue touches contrast really nicely with the orange as well.
Newgrounds has a few idiosyncrasies (one of them is that people can only make one comment per artwork, but they can reply to news posts multiple times), but on the whole it's not that different from most other art sites, I think. You already uploaded something to your gallery with the right rating and tags, so I'd say you got the most important stuff down.

Thank you so much !!! He is pretty close to a phoenix in lore (resurrected ashes and all, light associations) but I gave him electric powers to better represent some of his other inspirations. The titular Cockatoo character is also a fire bird herself XD
Using the contrasting colours in the hair is one of my favourite methods of colouring and I use it is most of my pages, especially with him and the Cockatoo Harpy woman.
